Obituary

Albert "Joe" Bevan, 90 of Green Bay passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 20, 2012. He was born December 12, 1921 in Winnipeg, Canada to the late Albert E. and Alice Bevan. Joe served during WWII in the Canadian Army with The Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders of Canada. On December 26, 1950 he married Alma Ellison in Winnipeg.They moved to Neenah, in 1955 and in 1976, he transferred to Green Bay from Neenah. Joe retired from James River in 1987. He greatly enjoyed listening to classical music, reading, and traveling to Maine, Mexico, and back to Canada. Joe was a very sociable person, and made friends very easy whether a young child or one of his contemporaries.
He is survived by wife Alma, his children; Murray (Ronnie) Bevan, and Glynis (Juan) Alicea. His seven grandchildren; Allison (Andrew), Andrew, Stephanie, Lindsay, Maria, Antonio (Kristen), Jose, and his great grandson Mason. Joe's two sisters in law also survive him; Daneta and Norma (Ron), as well as three nieces; Daneta, Norma, and Laura, and his nephew Gordon and their families.
Friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street in De Pere from 10am - 12pm on Saturday March 31, 2012. A funeral service for Joe will be held at 12pm with Pastor Juan Alicea officiating. Please go to www.ryanfh.com to send online condolences to the family.
