James Wolfe

Funeral Director

 

James joined the Ryan Funeral Home family in January 2006 and became a licensed funeral director in March 2007.

James was born in Janesville, WI and graduated from Janesville Parker High School in 1997. He continued his education at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and graduated in May 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in General Biology.

His beginnings with death care started with a summer job at a local cemetery in Oshkosh, helping with the maintenance of the cemetery grounds. Through his time working in the cemeteries, James talked to funeral directors, inquiring about their work. In December 2002 he joined the staff of Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes in Oshkosh and started his career in funeral service.

During his time with Konrad-Behlman, James served his apprenticeship learning the funeral profession. He enrolled at Milwaukee Area Technical College-West Allis and graduated in April 2006 with an Associate Degree in Funeral Service.

James is an active member and past president of the De Pere Noon Optimist Club, is a Big Brother in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Green Bay, and is a member of Current Young Professionals Network Green Bay. Professionally, James is an active member of Wisconsin Funeral Service and Cremation Alliance (WIFSCA), president of Fox River Valley Funeral Directors Association, and a Cremation Association of North America (CANA) Certified crematory operator.
