Joan Klister

Administrator, Retired

 

Joan Klister has been an important member of the Ryan Funeral Home family since July, 1991. She was born in Kaukauna, graduated from Holy Cross School and Kaukauna High School. She received a B.S. degree from St. Norbert College and an M.A. degree from St. Xavier University. Before working at Ryan Funeral Home, Joan dedicated 41 years to Catholic education as a teacher and administrator, including 17 years as principal at Notre Dame School in De Pere.

Over the years, Joan held memberships in many professional organizations. Currently, she is a member of the Learning in Retirement Program at UWGB, Spirituality in Retirement, a volunteer at St. Vincent Hospital, and a member and past president of St. Vincent Auxiliary. Joan is a member of St. Francis Xavier Parish in De Pere.

After twenty years of dedicated professionalism and service to the families of Northeast Wisconsin, Joan is taking a much needed break. She enjoys her retirement years filled with family, friends, community volunteerism, and church. She remains a valued best friend, business advisor, and mentor to our staff and family.
