Obituary for Chuck Beilke

Charles J. “Chuck” Beilke, 88, De Pere, passed away at home in the arms of his loving wife on December 26, 2017, following a brief illness. The son of William and Mary (Carroll) Beilke was born on November 12, 1929.

Chuck grew up the youngest of four boys. He was always playing sports and excelled at basketball and golf. He continued to golf and play cribbage with his buddies until his final days.

On October 27, 1951, Chuck married Jewell Trudell, his high school sweetheart, at Fort Benning in Georgia. They raised three children together. They loved entertaining family and friends in their garden, traveling to warmer climates and playing tennis. On Sundays, you could find them anxiously awaiting kickoff in all of their Packers gear.

Chuck was an integral part in the success of Shade Business Forms. He went on to purchase Herman Office Supplies, which he then re-named Desk Supplies & Systems. He was a natural born salesman and excelled at what he did. Chuck retired from his son’s company, Systems Furniture Inc., to spend more time golfing and enjoying the company of his family and friends.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jewell, his children, Curt (Ann) Beilke, Liz Thomson and Sarah Begel (Scott Radeztsky). He is further survived by his grandchildren, Carrie (Russ) Bickerstaff, Allison Beilke (Chris), Stephanie Beilke(Mick), Alex Thomson and Michael Begel, and two great-grandchildren, Amalia and Isobel.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary, and all of his siblings. He is further preceded by one granddaughter, Ashley Thomson.
