Obituary for David Borman

David James Borman, 76, De Pere, passed away on October 31, 2017. He was born in Green Bay, WI on April 20, 1941 to the late Howard and Beatrice (DeRuyter) Borman. Dave married Mary Kittell on December 19, 1997.

Dave was an avid hunter and fisherman and adored spending time with his grandchildren, including riding four wheelers, playing catch, and riding in Papa’s new Corvette. He greatly enjoyed his relationship with his mother-in-law, Ida, who he fondly teased on a regular basis.

He served our country in the Army stationed in Germany. After retiring from Nicolet Paper Company, Dave enjoyed their home outside Marinette, WI for 14 years. Recently Dave and Mary enjoyed driving their new Corvette and participated in activities with Corvettes of the Bay.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; children Todd (Karen) Borman, Eden Prairie, MN, their children, Brittany Borman, South St. Paul, MN and Trent Borman, Cary, NC; Krystel Kittell and fiancé Nicholas “Nick” McCabe and their children, Mason and Landyn, Ledgeview; and grandchildren Francis and Millie Paul, Denmark.

He is further survived by sister-in-law Linda (DeGroot) Borman, DePere; niece Jennifer and Nicholas “Nick” Potts and their children, Ledgeview; and sister-in-law Betty and Dave Byrnes, Green Bay, as well as other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law Burdon and Ida Thyes; brother Robert “Bob” Borman; brothers-in law Leroy Thyes, Bert Thyes and Rick Thyes; and nieces Barbara (Borman) Kiley and Michelle “Mike” (Borman) Lingl.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, November 3, 2017 at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N 10th Street, De Pere, WI. A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 PM.

Visitation will continue on Saturday, November 4th from 9:00 to 9:45 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Drive, De Pere, WI. The Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 AM with Father Patrick Gawrylewski, O.F.M. officiating. Please go to www.ryanfh.com to send online condolences to the family.
