Obituary for Paul E. Freeman

Paul Edward Freeman, age 72, Green Bay, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, December 21, 2017 with his family by his side after a long hard fought 9 year battle with prostate cancer.
Paul was born on Dec 6, 1945 to the late Martin and Amelia (Leiterman) Freeman. He graduated from Premontre High School. From the age of 13 he worked at Austin’s grocery store on Ridge Rd and in Chilton. At the age of 20 he started working for Georgia Pacific where he worked 40 years before finally retiring from there. He also helped out his brother in law with his vending company filling vending machines where he was often called “The Candy Man”. He was an extremely hard working, dedicated family man and instilled these great qualities in his children as well which they will be forever thankful for.
He married the love of his life and best friend, Sharon Kazik, on Sept 25, 1965 and together they shared 52 wonderful years of marriage and had 3 children.
Paul is survived by his wife, Sharon; their children: Dawn (Bill) Swinford; Shelley (Chris) Salemi and Marty (Julie) Freeman; eight grandchildren, Paul, Nathan (Ashley), Tony, Sam, Morgan, Amber, Brock and Mason. He is also survived by one sister, Patricia (Dennis) Neerdaels and one brother, Roger Freeman, along with many other family members and good friends.

The family would like to thank the wonderful, caring nurses, doctors and staff at Bellin Cancer Center, especially Dr Mortara who told Paul to go out and get the things he has always wanted. So he went out and bought his long awaited corvette in which he and his wife thoroughly enjoyed taking rides in . They also would like to thank Sherri, Jana and Kristyl from Heartland Hospice for all their care, time and support provided to Paul and his family.
The family would like to adhere to Paul’s wishes so there will be no memorial service. Ryan Funeral home is assisting the family. In leau of flowers, etc., please make a donation to the Bellin Cancer Center in Paul’s name.
