Organ / Body Donation

Wisconsin law provides that a person, while living, may arrange to donate his/her body to a medical school for scientific, medical, or educational purposes.

Anyone of sound mind and over 18 years old may donate his/her body by registering with one of the colleges listed below. A donor may revoke the gift of donation at any time by notifying the school of donation. Also, the school program may also refuse a donation due to physical condition, recent surgery or other causes. These regulations are decided upon at the time of death and will be explained to you or your family at that time. Please note that if the school does not except the deceased for donation a funeral home will need to be contacted to assist you in planning a funeral.
