Allen L. Green, age 90 of Oneida passed away peacefully on Monday evening April 7, 2014. Allen was born October 19, 1923 in Oneida to the late Joseph and Elsie (House) Green. On April 28, 1964 he married Alfreda (nee Smith) Danforth. Allen proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of the VFW Robert Cornelius Post # 7784. During his time in service Allen received many medals, but the one he held dearest was when in 2009 he received the Medal of Knight of the Legion from France. A lifelong lover of horses, Allen took part in training many horses, and enjoyed fishing. Survivors include his wife Alfreda, two daughters; Marena Pamanet, and Carole Liggins. Allen is further survived by 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, two sisters; Beatrice King, Mary Jane (Alan) Doxtator as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Amy, his son in law Lawrence Pamanet, and his siblings; Daisy (Amos) Christjohn, Grace Green, John Green, Muriel Skenandore, Erna (Donald) Wheelock, and brother in law Harold King. Friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street in De Pere after 4pm on Thursday April 10, 2014. There will be a parish prayer service at 7pm to bring the evening to a close. The Oneida Hymn Singers will sing at 6:30pm. Visitation will continue after 9am on Friday at the funeral home until time of service at 10:30am.
