Bernard "Bernie" M. Metoxen, 58, of Oneida, went home on Thursday morning, January 21, 2010 in a local nursing home. The son of Lorraine (Hill) Metoxen and the late Commodore Metoxen was born April 19, 1951. Bernard enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid Bears Fan. He enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren. Survivors include his children, Marten Metoxen and his finace , Tiffany Voysey, Madison, Becky (James) Thorison, Manitowoc, Mindy Metoxen, Oneida, Commodore Metoxen, II , Manitowoc, Tylor (Amanda) Metoxen, Manitowoc, Shannon Metoxen, Waupaca, Shauna Metoxen, Waupaca, and eight grandchildren, his mother, Lorraine Metoxen, Oneida, two sisters, Carol Hill and Sandra (Bernie) Hawpetoss, and one brother, Dennis (Sharon) Skenandore. He was preceded in death by his father, Commodore Metoxen and many other relatives and friends. Service in Celebration of Bernard's Life will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home with Deacon Edmund Powless, officiating.
