Obituary

Richard N. "Dick" Sigafoose, 85, passed away in De Pere, Wisconsin on April 24, 2020. The son of James and Willa (Donnell) Sigafoose was born on May 15, 1934 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dick attended Withrow High School and the University of Cincinnati. On July 2, 1955, he married Nancy Pennington at Oakley Methodist Church in Cincinnati. He served in the United States Air Force from 1953 to 1957 as a navigator and pilot. Dick was a mechanical engineer at GE Cincinnati for five years, and then a mechanical engineer for Proctor & Gamble in Cincinnati, Ohio, Green Bay, Wisconsin and Jackson, Tennessee for a combined 30 years. He was a member of the NRA, United Way, various car clubs and served on the Board of Directors for Spring Brook Community in Jackson. While working at P&G, Dick and Nancy bought the Four Winds Marina in Higginsport, Ohio, where they managed a restaurant, dock slips, boat sales and repair for four years. He enjoyed fishing, target shooting, boating and antique collecting. He authored two books on American pottery. His greatest love other than family was cars; he rebuilt Roadsters, owned a Chrystler Prowler and collected Hot Wheels toy cars. Dick is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughters, Jeanie (Charlie) Wolf and Sue (Dan) Hurley; grandchildren Rick Wolf, Joe (Katie) Wolf, Bryan (Laura) Wolf, Kristen (Doug) Ambrose, Sarah (Tim) Lowry, Jena (Keith) Stelzer and Megan (Jake) Noltner. He is further survived by thirteen great-grandchildren and his sister, Sue Benson. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Willa, and his brother, Jim Sigafoose. Private family services were held. In lieu of flowers any donations people want to contribute we would like to go to Wounded Warrior Project. The family would like to extend special thanks to the De Pere Rescue Team, HSHS Oncology and St. Mary's Hospital.
