John Earl Cashman, 79, De Pere, passed away January 18, 2012. He was born on December 18, 1932 to the late Earl and Antoniette Cashman in the Town of Rockland.
He was married to Lorraine Piotrowski on May 14, 1960 at St. Stanislaus, Hofa Park.
John was a dairy farmer in the Town of Rockland. He enjoyed his purebred Holstein cattle and took great pride in the crops grown on his farm. He enjoyed working in the outdoors. In retirement, he and Lorraine moved to De Pere and he enjoyed his raspberries in his garden.
John was a graduate of East De Pere High School in 1950. Attended University of Wisconsin - Green Bay to study veterinary medicine for a time. He was involved in FFA and 4-H during his youth.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years Lorraine Cashman Piotroski, his sister Mary Ann Totta (Paul) and his children: son Patrick (Adriana) grandchildren Wesley, Sophia and Sean of Montreal, Canada; son Steven Cashman of Green Bay., and daughter Barb Baudhuin (Tim) of Brussels, Wisconsin. He is also survived by nieces and nephews from the Edward Cashman family who he enjoyed playing cards with on a regular basis. He is also survived by his niece Kathy Sanders (Greg). John was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and sister-in-law Edward (Loretta) Cashman, and sister-in-law Dorothy Sanders.
Friends and family may call on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at St. Francis Xavier Church at 220 S. Michigan Street, De Pere from 10:00AM to time of Mass. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 21 at 11:00AM with the Rev. Patrick Beno officiating. Burial will be in Mont Olivet Cemetery at 2:00PM.
