Obituary for Mary Anna von Hoff

Mary Anna Von Hoff, 96, De Pere, transitioned on Wednesday, November 7, 2018. She was born May 31, 1922 in St. Ignace, MI, a daughter of the late Mary (Coakley) Latondress and Louis Latondress.
Mary Anna met her future husband, Stanley Von Hoff, while he was serving in World War II. They married on April 29, 1946. The couple spent 72 years together raising their five children and traveling the world visiting countries in Europe and beyond.
Mary Anna was a gifted mathematician and accountant. She was a dedicated member of the First United Presbyterian Church in De Pere and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mary Anna also was an education advocate. She tirelessly volunteered at activities that supported the students, teachers, and administrators of the De Pere Public Schools.
Mary Anna is survived by her loving husband of 72 years Stanley Von Hoff and five children: Dr. Daniel (Ann) Von Hoff, Dr. Bonnie Johnson, Deborah (Tom) Lang, Timothy (Margie) Von Hoff, and Jim (Gina) Von Hoff. Grandchildren include Paul (Carrie) Von Hoff, Jane (Phillip) Tappmeyer, Carol (Andy) Cagnoni, Heather Lang, and Kathy (Hunter) La Rue. Mary Anna had several great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law, Monica Von Hoff; son-in-law, Dr. Dale Johnson; two sisters, Medora Sterk and Florence Johnson; and a brother, Jim Latondress.
