Timothy (Timmy) John Mecikalski, 43, of Crivitz, passed away on July 11, 2014 in Pittsburgh, as a result of complications related to his cystic fibrosis. He was listed in May 2013 for a double lung transplant. Tim was born in Green Bay to the late Edward "Running Bear" Mecikalski and Ann (Eiler) Mecikalski. Tim grew up in Oneida and loved his Native American Culture. At the age of eight, Tim started working for his Dad making picture frames. Tim graduated from West De Pere High School where he was a four year letterman on the wrestling team. After high school, Tim graduated from NWTC with a welding certificate and a few years later with a weld inspector certification. Tim married Ruth Ann Kansier in September of 1995. Tim also graduated from NWTC with certificates in Medical Transcriptions and Medical Coding and planned on working as a medical coder after his transplant. While growing up, Tim and his family spent summers up at the cabin in the Twin Bridge area. In 1999 Tim purchased a home in the Twin Bridge area. In 1999, Tim had to stop working due to his cystic fibrosis. Tim loved his welding career and working for his last employer, Highview Custom Fabricating. Tim loved living in the Twin Bridge area, fishing pan fish and musky on various lakes. Tim was a member of the Peshtigo Flowage Musky Club and enjoyed deer hunting in Oneida where he grew up. Tim loved his two dalmations, Micky and Jazman. Tim enjoyed the Annual Oneida Pow-Wow, and watching Packer Games. Tim also was an avid collector of old cork handled fishing rods and Mitchell 300 Series Reels. Tim is survived by his mother, Ann Eiler, two brothers and their families, Jerry and Debbie Mecikalski, children Derrick (Anika) Capelle and Delana Capelle, and Mike (Michelle) Mecikalski and their children, Katie and Brett. He is further survived by his special friend Julie Pflieger, her daughter Ashley Thomson and Julie's uncle Joseph Timmers, and many uncles, aunts and cousins.
