Adrian Michael Brooks, 87, Askeaton, passed away on Monday, June 4, 2012 at Theda Clark Hospice Residence, Appleton. He was born June 30, 1924 in the Town of Holland, WI., son of the late Henry and Mary (Brochtrup) Brooks.
Adrian started working at Kimberly Clark in Kimberly in 1946 retiring in 1987. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1943 1946. He served in the European Theater with the 395th quartermasters. As a coppersmith fabricated and repaired copper stove parts, tanks, coils, tubing, fittings and similar objects. He worked with steel and tin. He was a member of the American Legion Post 126 in Brillion.
He will be deeply missed by his brothers and sisters: Rose Ann (Fred) Ponschock, Appleton, Henry L. Brooks, Askeaton, Fr. Charlie Brooks, Appleton, Janet (Jake) Huber, Kewaunee, Betty (Marv) Rademacher, Wrightstown, Roger "Duke" (Alice) Brooks, Hollandtown; one sister-in-law, Judie Brooks, Combined Locks; one brother-in-law, John (Shirley) Kemkes Sr., Appleton, God daughter, Karla Buckley; many nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews.
Adrian was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters: John "Wilmer" (Helen) Brooks, Mary (Paul) Skell, Joe (Betty) Brooks, Sister Mary Henry Brooks, Theresa Kemkes, Richard Brooks, Virginia "Jeanie" Brooks, Jacob Brooks and Franklin (Janelle) Brooks and a nephew, Rick Skell.
Friends may call St. Clare Parish/St. Patrick's Site on Friday, June 8, 2012 from 4:00 pm until the Mass of Christian Burial at 6:00 pm with Fr. Dennis Bergsbaken celebrating and Fr.
