Agatha "Aggie" Hockers, 97, of De Pere, died peacefully in her sleep Tuesday March 3, 2015. The daughter of the late Randall and Anne (Vande Hei) Cavil was born March 25, 1917 in De Pere. On October 4, 1941 she married Al Hockers at St. Mary Church in De Pere. He preceded her in death February 12, 2005.
She was a longtime member of St. Boniface Church and Our Lady of Lourdes Church. She was a member of the Christian Mothers Society. Aggie loved to dance and was a member of Whirl-A-Way Dance Club. She and Al enjoyed traveling and had visited all 50 states. She loved gardening and sewing. Aggie was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother.
Survivors include her children, Ken (Kathy) Hockers, Ann Jaeger, Joan (John) Leick, Rose (Jim) Smits, Peggy Hockers and special friend Lowell Whittle, Bonnie (Dave) Defnet, Jeff (Patti) Hockers, Tom (Becky) Hockers, 22 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren, one sister, Betty Schleis, sisters-in- law, Grace Hockers and Gladys Cavil. She was preceded in death by her husband, two grandchildren, Kenny Hockers, Benjamin Smits and her eight siblings,
Family and friends may call at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Family, Suburban Drive at Lourdes Avenue in De Pere on Friday March 6, 2015. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am and continue until time of service. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am Friday at the church with Father Tim Shillcox, O. Praem, officiating.
