Agnes McHale Wood, age 90, of De Pere, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born on June 12, 1928 to the late William J. and Mary (Quinlan) McHale in Soperton, WI.
She graduated from the College of St. Catherine in 1950. On February 3, 1951, she married Frank Wood, of St. Ignace, MI, in Chilton, WI and the couple had eight children. For 11 years, Agnes was a hospice volunteer. Another of her interests was music. She was a 1983 graduate of St. Norbert College, majoring in music. She was a founding member along with Dottie Gerrits and Pat Viets of the Corelli Consort, a trio playing music from the Baroque period. The group was together for over 25 years.
Agnes is survived by her children: Patrick and spouse Mary Faith, Maggie, Annie, and Katelyn; Christopher and spouse Judith, Ryan and Brenden; Michael; Dan and spouse Barbara, Lily and Ethan; Rebecca; Tom and his children, Liam, Keara, Evan and Jade; and Megan and spouse Tom, Elizabeth and Margaret; and great-grandchildren: Dylan, James and Rory Powers, as well as Patrick Drysdale. Her husband as well as a daughter, Mary McHale Wood, preceded her in death.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at St. Norbert College Parish at Old St. Joseph Church, from 4:30 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 6 p.m. with Fr. James Neilson, O. Praem officiating. Inurnment in St. Ignatius Cemetery in St. Ignace. .
