On March 17th Alan (Al) Jakubowski, age 59, entered his heavenly father's kingdom. While his death was unexpected to his family, comfort was found in that God chose him quickly and peacefully. He is riding the clouds of Heaven, side by side with his dad, Al.
Al was a quiet man, with a quick-witted sense of humor, full of funny comebacks. He was a caring dad to his son, a loving uncle to his nieces and nephews. Al was passionate about caring for his mother and will continue to do so in spirit. After his retirement from B&B Pavers he enjoyed working in his garage on his '67 Chevelle and taking his Harley out for a cruise. He enjoyed his backyard bon-fires with family and friends.
Al is survived by his son, Alan Jr.; his mother, Iris Jakubowski; his sisters Diane R. Jakubowski, Debbie Willems; brother Randy (Cindy); nieces Alexis Jakubowski-Fameree, Savannah, Lora and Kimberly Jakubowski; his nephews Tony and Eric Willems, along with many aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father, Aleizego (Al) Jakubowski; paternal grandparents, Peter and Martha Jakubowski; and maternal grandparents, George and Jetta Greene.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022 at St Mary's of the Angels Church, 650 S. Irwin Ave, Green Bay from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. The Oneida Hymn Singers will begin singing at 3:30pm. A memorial service will begin at 4:00 PM with Deacon Paul P. Umentum officiating.
A special thanks to his friends Bill Bloomer and Brett Blozinski for always having Al's back and the special friendships he will always cherish.
Thank you to the GBPD and the Fire and Rescue for their kindness and compassion in a very difficult time.
Forever in our hearts Alan. Never to be forgotten. Fly High.
