IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Alberta R.
Metoxen
August 11, 1936 – July 14, 2024
Alberta Ramona (House) Metoxen, 87 of Oneida, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2024. She was born in Oneida to the late Prudence (Bennett) and George House. She married Gerald Metoxen on November 5, 1955 at Holy Apostles Episcopal Church in Oneida. Alberta and Gerald had four beautiful children and she was their rock.
Alberta took such amazing care of her children. She worked tirelessly to make sure they knew they were loved and cared for. She always taught them to be loving and kind. After losing her daughter and her son, she was never the same. She missed them every single day. We are so thankful that they are finally reunited together in Heaven.
She loved bingo and playing slots. Alberta and Gerald would always go to the casino on New Years for the huge bashes that were held. She was also a huge Packers and Brewers fan and loved watching all their games. She also enjoyed playing cribbage with her son Keith, but enjoyed taking his money more. Alberta was also very close to her mom, and always enjoyed going rummage and estate sales with her.
Alberta also took care of donating to her church, making sure their needs were also met. Even though she wasn't always physically able to help, she did whatever she could. Often, she would give donations anonymously.
Alberta is survived by her son Keith (special friend Anita) Metoxen, and daughter Denise (Elmin) Rivera, her 9 grandchildren, as well as 10 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her brother Kenneth (Hoyan) House, and her sister Nancy Rasmussen.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald, her daughter Carolyn, her son Anthony (Tony) and her parents, her siblings, Diane Funmaker, Jerry House, Bruce House, Richard (Ricky) House, Judy Smits.
Family and friends may call to Holy Apostles Episcopal Church, 2937 Freedom Rd, Oneida, WI 54155 for visitation from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 20, 2024. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM with Fr. James Biegler officiating. Ryan Funeral Home is assisting the family.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Judy John, Marj Stevens, and Carol Dbogda for all their support and friendship.
"A heart is not determined by how much you love, but how much you are loved by others."
