Alexandra "Lexi" Jayne Binish, 14, died Saturday August 30, 2008 as a result of an automobile accident. The daughter of Larry and Angel (Laabs) Binish. Lexi was born May 27, 1994 in Green Bay. She would have been a freshman this year at Reedsville High School. Lexi was involved with 4-H, loved cooking, baking and cleaning. She was an avid outdoorswoman, enjoyed fishing, swimming, camping, and playing with her dog Gracie Lou.
Survivors include her parents, Larry and Angel Binish, one sister, Alicia Marie Binish, one brother, Ethan John Binish, at home, grandparents, William and Donna Laabs, Freedom, Tom and Terry Binish, Green Bay, special grandparents Tom and Judy Hill, Wayside, and Mary Greenwood, Green Bay, great-grandmother, Marie Bongle, special great aunt, Vi Belongia, aunts and uncles, Beth (Godmother) and Paul Greenwood, Gregg and Karrie Laabs, Jackie Binish and friend, Scott, Dick and Cindy Binish, Tom Jr. and Kris Binish, Pat and Tina Binish, Mike and Diane Binish, Mary and Wayne Fischer, Jennifer Binish and friend, John, Chris (Godfather) and Mary Ellen Hill, Rick and Karen Hill, Matt Greenwood and friend Jill, many special cousins and special friends, and the many guys she had wrapped around her little finger. She was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Norb and Loretta Vergets, Arthur Bongle, and Melvin Laabs, uncles Dick and Bob Bongle. She was also preceded in death by Chelsi and Candy.
Friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, September 5, 2008. Prayer service will close the visitation at 8:00 pm. Visitation will continue from 9:00 to 10:45 am Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Glenmore. Her dream was to become a nurse, and that caring attitude prompted her to become an organ donor, thus helping out others.
To St. Vincent's Tenth Floor Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, our heartfelt thanks to you for your skill, knowledge, love and respect shown to Lexi during her stay there. A special thanks and love to Paula, Brooke, Tammy, Lisa and Kristin. No one could have done more. Our thanks, also to Dr. Vardis, who took wonderful minute to minute care of Lexi; his respect for life and fighting for it, his understanding of the needs of the family and support and love; Dr. Sullivan's care and love to both Lexi and Alicia; Dr. Coleman and his nurses for their big hearts and care. In addition, a special thank you is sent to the EMT's, Fire Departments of Menchalville, Wayside, Morrison, and Kellnersville who worked so rapidly to free the girls for transport by Theda Star and Eagle Three on their "Flight for Life", as well as the ER nurses and Docs.
