Obituary

Alice B. (Bauer) Penn, of Green Bay, lifelong resident of Ashland, WI, passed away Easter Sunday morning, April 12, 2009, in Green Bay, where she moved in 2008 to be near her family. Alice was the daughter of the late John and Anna Bauer. She graduated from De Padua High School and worked at the Lake Superior District Power Company until she married Ashland Attorney Theodore Penn in 1944. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and was a former member of the State Bank of Drummond Board of Directors. Alice was the loving and proud mother of Ted (Mary) Penn of Green Bay. She is also survived by one sister, Betty Geach of Madison, a special niece Jackie McCormick of Grafton and nieces and nephews. Alice was preceded in death by her husband Theodore in 1970, a sister, Irene De Michele, and two brothers Frank and Alphonse Bauer. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Ashland. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established for Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 206 East Second Avenue North, Ashland, WI, 54806.
