Alice J. Roes, 87, De Pere, passed away peacefully on Monday January 1, 2018. She was born on July 16, 1930 in Green Bay to the late Edward and Anna (Baumgartner) Becker. Alice married Victor Roes at Immaculate Conception Church, Oneida on Oct. 25, 1952. Victor preceded her in death on May 8, 1981.
Alice enjoyed spending time with family and tending to her garden and plants. She also enjoyed gambling and trips to Neveda, and shaking a game of dice. Everyone knew her as "Ma".
She is survived by her seven children Edward Roes, David Roes, Randy (Debbie) Roes, John Roes, Sue (Kevin) Winters, Donald (special friend June) Roes, Al (Bobbi) Roes, and 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Alice is further survived by her sister, Delores Lambert, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband, Alice is preceded in death by her brother, Harvey Dexheimer, her sister Frances Rice and a daughter-in-law Donna Roes.
Family and friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street De Pere from 3:00PM – 7:00PM Friday January 5, 2018. Visitation will continue after 9:00AM at Immaculate Conception Church, Oneida until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11am with Fr. John C. Katamba officiating.
