Allen "Al" Page, 62, of Appleton, died unexpectedly on Thursday evening, September 8, 2011 at home. The son of the late Oliver and Eyla (Mattox) Page was born February 19, 1949 in Green Bay. He served his country in the U. S. Marine Corp with two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was a decorated veteran and served as Drill Instructor. Al received the Purple Heart and Navy Commendation Medal with a Combat "V" Designation. He had worked for many years with Johnson Control in Texas.
His family includes three sisters, Louella (Melvin) VanDenBerg, Shirley Martin, Sharon (David) Schaal, one half sister, Julene (Brian) Brandt, as well as many nephews and nieces including special nephews, Joe VanDenBerg and Chad VanDenBerg, and a special niece Noreen VanDenBerg. Preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Eyla, his sisters, Barbara Nylund, Rhodonna Knapstein, Sylvia Page and brother, Myron Page.
