Allen O. Peters 77, of Green Bay passed away on Monday April 26, 2010. He was born July 6, 1932 in Greenleaf to the late Charles and Martha (Dreier) Peters. On February 11, 1956 he married Leona Guyette. They had recently celebrated 54 years of marriage together. Allen was a veteran of the United States Navy. He had retired from U.S. Paper Mill in De Pere. Allen loved to cook, especially making his famous candy at the holidays. Allen loved to spend time with his family. He is survived by his wife Leona, his children; Frank (Karen) Peters, Mark (Sheri) Peters, Bob Peters, Karen (Rob) Peterson, and Brian (Michelle) Peters. He is further survived by 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, as well as his siblings; Carl (Shirley) Peters, John (Sally) Peters, Betty (George) Boucher, Arlene Peters, Lois Paradek, and Jerry (Isabel) Peters. Leona's family further survives Betty Cornette, and Sylvester Guyette, and his special friends Ron and Polly Pedersen. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 granddaughter Joanna, a great grandson Victor Jr., his siblings; David Peters, Karen Peters, Ralph (Elaine) Peters, Lloyd Peters, Dorothy (Charles) Daniels, and Charlotte Champeau, as well as his brother in law Francis Paradek. Friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street De Pere from 4 7pm Wednesday (TODAY). A prayer service will be held at 7pm to bring the evening to a close. Visitation will continue after 10am Thursday at the funeral home until time of service at 11am with Deacon Mike VanderBloomen officiating. Full military honors will follow the service.
