Alma E. Bevan, 89 of Green Bay passed away peacefully on Monday morning September 23, 2013. She was born January 10, 1924 in Selkirk, Manitoba Canada to the late Gustave and Emily Hack. After Gustave died when Alma was a little girl, her mother remarried Ernest Ellison whom Alma called her father. On December 26, 1950 she married Albert "Joe" Bevan in Winnipeg. In 1955 they moved to Neenah and in 1976 to Green Bay. She and Joe loved to read, listen to classical music, and traveling to Maine, Mexico, and back to Canada. Her family will always remember her for her thoughtfulness, hospitality and kindness shown to others. She knew her life was blessed by God and let His love flow freely.
Alma is survived by her children, Murray (Ronnie) Bevan, and Glynis (Juan) Alicea. Her seven grandchildren; Allison (Andrew), Andrew, Stephanie, Lindsay, Maria, Antonio (Kristen), Jose, and her great grandson Mason, and a great granddaughter due in January. Her sister Norma (Ron) Coward, her two nieces, Daneta, and Norma and her nephew Gordon also survive.. Preceding Alma in death were her husband Joe in 2012, and her sisters and brothers in-laws Ruth (Bill) Rawdon, and Daneta (Bob) Downie, as well as her niece Laura Coward.
Friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street in De Pere from 10am 12pm on Saturday, October 5, 2013.
