Alvina June Close, 86 of Oneida, formerly of Tigerton went to her Heavenly Home on Friday morning August 20, 2010. She was born June 9, 1924 to the late Joel and Lucy (Doxtator) Woodman. In April of 1957 she married Arthur Close. He preceded her in death in 1981. Alvina was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and homemaker. She is survived by her children: Helmuth "Gus" Kosbab of Seymour, Arnold (Elsie) Kosbab of Bowler, Joanne (Ernie) Close of De Pere, Marianne Close of Oneida, and Alvira Close of Oneida. She is further survived by 18 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and her brother Louis Woodman. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arthur, and an infant sister. Friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street De Pere from 6 8pm Monday. The Oneida Hymn Singers will sing at 6:30pm. Visitation will continue after 9am Tuesday at the funeral home until time of service at 10am with Rev. Doctor Ted Tromble officiating burial in Union Cemetery, Tigerton, WI.
