Obituary

Alvina Ann Gibson, 79, of De Pere, passed away on Thursday December 2, 2010 with her family at her side. She was born on July 3, 1931. Alvina was raised by her mother Lucille Koch and her step father Wilton Miron. She graduated from Laona High School. On February 21, 1950 she married Robert F. Gibson at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Green Bay. They had sixty years together. She worked at St. Norbert College for twenty-eight years. Alvina enjoyed traveling, especially to Mexico with Robert and her family. She also enjoyed helping out at her son's boat racing playing bingo, spending time with her grandchildren, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers. She is survived by her husband, her children and grandchildren, Linda Kust, and her children, Steve (Sheila), Jenny (Andy) Adams, Matt and Bonnie, Becky Kust (Tony Morgan); Bobby (Debbie) and their children, Shannon (Nate) Siem, Kristy Gibson, and Justin (Britni Price); Jean Williams, and her children, Andy and Amber Williams; Mike Gibson; as well as 8 great-grandchildren and her dog, Lady, who will all miss her. She is further survived by sisters and brothers, Roemel Tripp, Fred (Connie) Garot, Ellen (Melvin) Sonnentag, William (Cecil) Miron, and Ruth Zirbel. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Joseph Miron. Friends may call at Old St. Joe's Catholic Church, the Heart of St. Norbert College Campus from 9:00 am to 10:15 am Monday December 6, 2010. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Monday at the Church with the Rev. James Baraniak O.Praem, officiating. Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
