Ann Marie Gavin, 55, of Ashwaubenon, passed away on Wednesday September 9, 2009 at home. The daughter of Paul and Louise (Filiatreault) Gavin was born June 17, 1954 in Lake Geneva, WI. She attended UW LaCrosse and was a graduate of UW Madison. Ann Marie was a nurse and an English teacher and was a paraprofessional at Ashwaubenon School District. She was active with the Literacy Council of Brown County. An active member of the Community, Ann was a volunteer at Acts 1:8 Ministry, Life Fest, the Cup O' Joy Christian Coffee House and the Drama Ministry. Ann had done extensive Missionary Work in China and was active in the Missions Committee at her home church, the Heartland Church of Green Bay. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and her hobbies were cooking exquisite meals and listening to upbeat, positive music. Her family includes her parents, Paul and Louise Gavin, Woodstock, IL, four brothers, Patrick and Jo Ellen Gavin, Paul and Jo Gavin, Kevin and Denise Gavin, and Timothy and Christine Gavin, a godson, Nathan, nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at Heartland Church, 3340 Lineville Road, Green Bay, WI from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 pm on Friday , September 18, 2009. A Service of Remembrance in Celebration of Ann Marie's Life will be held at 1:00 pm Friday at the church with Pastor Scott Werlein, officiating. Burial will be held at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery in Lake Geneva. A memorial service will also be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday September 19, 2009 at the Community Room in Hearthstone Village Assisted Living Center in Woodstock, IL. RYAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY of De Pere, WI is assisting the Gavin family with arrangements. Memorial funds have been established to the American Diabetes Association and the American Heart Association.
