Ann M. O'Keefe, 71 of Deerbrook, Wi. formerly of De Pere, our beloved wife, mother, our rock and center of our family, passed away early Thursday morning, January 12, 2012 with her family at her side. She was born September 22, 1940 to the late Norbert and Margaret (Van Vonderen) Van De Hei. On April 2, 1964 she married Dan O'Keefe at St. Boniface Catholic Church in De Pere. She grew up working in the family owned Sweet Clover Dairy. Ann worked at Abbot Pennings High School in the cafeteria, and then at Notre Dame High School, before moving to Rice Lake with Dan. In Rice Lake she kept books for the family business. Ann always had a love of horse's which she trained and rode. She enjoyed bowling, scuba diving, and boating where she and Dan met many lifelong friends. Ann had a personality that you couldn't help loving; she touched many lives. She is survived by her husband Dan, her children; Jessi (Jason) Busse, Nikki (Bruce) Kabacinski, and Mitch O'Keefe. Her grandchildren further survive; Katelyn, Dylan, Jordan, Marshall, Mitch, Erika, and Derek. Ann's siblings; Ken (Delores) Van De Hei, Rita (Pat) Gallagher, Mary Pavlovich, and Gerry (Debbie) Van De Hei. Her brother in law Bill O'Keefe and sister in law Mary Lee Van De Hei also survive.
She was preceded in death by her infant son Daniel, her two brothers Jim Van De Hei, and Bob Van De Hei.
Friends may call at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family corner of Lourdes Ave and Suburban Drive in De Pere from 4 8pm Monday with a parish prayer service at 4pm. Visitation will continue after 9am Tuesday at the church until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am with Fr. Tim Shillcox O.Praem officiating. Burial will take place in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
