Ann Skochinski, loving mother of five children, passed away in Los Angeles, California on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at the age of 90, while enduring a short battle with Covid-19. Ann was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Floyd, and is survived by two sisters, Kay Zelten and Margaret Moran; five children, Pamela Ament, Phil Skochinski, Paul Skochinski, Ed Skochinksi, and David Skochinski, 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was born September 24, 1929 in Green Bay, WI to the late Frank E. Moran and Clara C. McKeough.
She moved to Los Angeles in the 1950's at the urging of her sisters where she eventually met her future husband, Floyd. She worked at General Motors, various fast-food restaurants (which her children loved) and the LA School District. Ann enjoyed singing, camping--she was known to slow down to a crawl on highways to enjoy the beautiful outdoors, cooking, but mostly being with her family. Ann and Floyd retired to Green Bay, near Lambeau field, in the 1990's where they were active in the National Alliance of Mental Illness teaching classes.
