Ann was born April 8, 1933 to Frank and Gertrude (Denisenn) Parins. Her original family consisted of 10 siblings. She was a graduate of Pulaski High School. After graduation she married George Watkins (deceased) and together they had 4 children. George was in the armed forces, so they traveled extensively until 1965 when separated their ways. Ann began a new life. She became my soulmate for 55 years. In her journey she was an assistant to the Phy Ed. teacher at Pulaski High School, worked for Gardner Denver, assembling pneumatic tools, making brakes, etc., she then began driving cars for Broadway Chevrolet. After that she made sure her mom was taken care of, along with her children and grandchildren. Ann was a person who was very strong willed, giving and caring. Everyone's opinion when they first met her was "I would venture to guess you are a very strong willed and stubborn person". Are you? Her answer to that was a Sharp YES! In our years together we worked hard, raised several dogs, and traveled in out motor home. Ann never climbed mountain peaks or went to college. She graduated with honors from the school of HARD KNOCKS and could solve a math problem before you finished telling her what you wanted. For years she loved grocery shopping. It was never for us; it was for the children and grandchildren. Woodman's had some great markdowns! We were popular in all the campgrounds we visited. Known as "The Girls". Find "The Girls" they will help you.
Ann passed at home of natural causes. After discussing her passing with the Lord, she decided to go out on their terms. She snuck out when my back was turned. To know her was to love her.
She is survived by her spouse of 55 years Shelby Guillette, her children; Lynn Marie Maes, Michael David (Angela) Watkins, Michelle Ann Rodgers, and Patrick George (Stacey) Watkins. Grandchildren: Tins Marie (Eddie) Ludwig, Nicole Ann (Joe) Fabry, Shanon Rodgers, and Chad (Angie) Goemans. Sisters and Brother-in-laws: Pauline McAbee, Cecily Blazer, Mary Jo (Joe) Brusky, and Shelby's sister Dona Lee (Jerry) Giese, as well as her God Daughters: Ellen Rentmeester and Karen (Cliff) Cragg.
We especially want to thank Natasha for her loving care. Ann looked forward to seeing her every morning. Her shower girl Jessica, who made sure she ran a lot of hot water. Also, thanks to Unity Hospice, Bellin Home Health, and Home Instead, you are very special people. Scott Baeten from Ryan Funeral Home who made the planning very easy and comfortable.
God Bless all of you who also have gone through the passing of a loved one.
