IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Anthony Richard
Renier
September 23, 1949 – October 22, 2023
Anthony "Tony" R. Renier, 74, of De Pere, WI, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2023 from complications following a heart attack. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Sarah Renier of De Pere. Tony is survived by his two children, Aaron Renier and Katie Renier, his grandson Grae Renala, his brother Michael (Carla) Renier, and nieces Angie Renier, Michelle Renier Ellingboe, and Sara Hartman.
Tony was a graduate of both St. Norbert College and UW-Oshkosh and spent many years as a social worker and counselor for Bellin, serving families in the Green Bay area. He had a great love for political debate and would never leave anyone questioning where he stood on an issue. Election times were an exciting source of endless entertainment and conversation.
Tony had a passion for community service and spent years volunteering with the Red Cross and numerous other organizations. He was very generous with both his time and money, using each however he knew he could make the greatest impact in his community. He most recently was a volunteer at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Bellevue. Tony will be greatly missed by all the lives he touched over so many years.
Tony's family would like to extend a huge thank you to the ICU and hospice teams at St. Mary's Hospital. The outpouring of attentive care for both Tony and his family was remarkable and exactly what was needed during this difficult time.
A celebration of life will be held at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N 10th St, De Pere, on Wednesday, November 1, 2023. Visitation will be from 1-3pm with a memorial service at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Tony's name.
