Arlene M. (Horstman) Kiel, 78, De Pere, entered into eternal life on January 19, 2016. She was born to Harvey and Hilde (Schleh) Horstman on April 4, 1937 in Manitowoc. Arlene graduated from Valders High School in 1955. On October 19, 1957, she married Robert "Bob" Kiel at St. Gregory's in St. Nazianz, Wisconsin. They raised five boys together. Arlene worked for years as an Interior Landscaper at Schroeder's. At home, she loved taking care of plants. She also loved cooking and baking for her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years, Robert; five sons Jeff (Sandy) Kiel, Manitowoc, Todd (Peggy) Kiel, Whitelaw, Mark (Nancy) Kiel, Plymouth, MN, Jerry (Theresa) Kiel, Loyal, and Terry (Tammy) Kiel, Union Grove; her nine grandchildren; Amanda (fianc Greg Baptist), Alex, Ally, Elizabeth, Katie, Tom, Erin, Amber and Karlie Kiel; and her sister, Patricia Salutz, Merrill. Arlene is further survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Arlene Kiel, Donald (Laura) Kleist, Daniel (Marge) Kiel, Alfred (Lois) Kiel, Roy (Betsy) Kiel, and Larry (Mary) Welty. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Hilde, parents-in-law Arthur and Evelyn Kiel, and brothers-in-law Robert Salutz and Henry Kiel. Family and friends will celebrate her life at Resurrection Catholic Church, 333 Hilltop Drive, Allouez, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, January 22, 2016. A Prayer Service will take place at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue at 8:30 am Saturday at church, until the time of service.
