Arletta "Cookie" Hawk-Kurowski, 85, of Oneida, passed away Friday, September 23, 2022. She was born January 9, 1937, the daughter of the late Arthur and Priscilla (Jordan) Hawk. Arletta worked the majority of her adult life as a Oneida Head Start teacher for over 35 years. She was proud of her young students. They were almost like her own kids. She always talked about them told stories about little things that happened while she was teaching them. They were all her butterflies.

She was the best mom ever, a wonderful sister to her brothers Ted Hawk, Al Manders and a wonderful sister to Ameila Cornelius. She was a wonderful aunt, great aunt, and the best grandma, great grandma, and great-great grandma, and she had lots of friends. She had a very special goddaughter, Heidi Hawk King, who she loved very much.

Arletta is survived by her kids, Daniel Hawk, Debra Kurowski, Donna (Galvan) Kurowski; brothers, Ted (Gloria) Hawk, Al (Vicki) Manders; and her three grandsons, Theo Kurowski-Belleau, David Belleau and Daniel N Hawk; granddaughter, Elyssa Hawk; four great grandsons, Hayden Hawk, Talon Hawk, Dillion Hawk, Bastian Hawk; two great-great grandkids, Trey and Harmony; she is further survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister Ameila Cornelius and many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.

Visitation will begin at 1:00pm on Wednesday, September 28th at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth Street De Pere. A service will be held at 4:00pm with Dcn. Deborah Heckel officiating. Remembrances of Arletta may be shared by visiting www.ryanfh.com.
