Arthur C. "Snooks" Johnson, 71, of Oneida passed on Monday morning December 12, 2011 at Unity Hospice in Ledgeview. The son of the late Arthur and Lillian (Summers) Johnson was born August 9, 1940 in Wauwatosa. He married the former Adeline Skenandore on October 10, 1977 and she preceded him in death on February 21, 2009. Art worked for many years as a heavy machinery operator in the cement industry. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was a great family man, friend and person. Snooks will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his children; David Johnson, Edwin and Jenny Johnson, Ron and Sue Melchert, Tim and Debbie Melchert, Mike and Patty Melchert, Beverly Allen, George Melchert, Mary Melchert and Frank Melchert; grandchildren Skyler and Sarah, his siblings, Marylyn Funk, Larry and Lynn Johnson, Karla and Keith Dugan, Raymond and Joyce Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Adeline, his brother, Melvin, son, Raymond Johnson, Larry Melchert, Roger Melchert, Chris Melchert, brothers, Eugene and Dell Johnson, and sister Theresa Melchert. Visitation will continue after 9:00 am Saturday at Riverview Baptist Church, 1382 Plane Site Blvd, De Pere until time of services.
