Austin Summers Jr., 89, Oneida, passed away peacefully Monday, November 22, 2021. He was born September 1, 1932, in Oneida to the late Austin and Margaret (Webster) Summers Sr.
Austin served his country as a member of the U.S. Army, having served in Korea. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 20 years before going on and working for the State of Wisconsin for 22 years as a prison guard. He enjoyed fishing and especially feeding the many birds that visited his feeders. He was a proud member of the Oneida VFW, and a Oneida Hymn Singer.
Austin is survived by his children; Cyndee (Richard) Rodgers, Nancy Summers, Wayne (Jackie) Summers, Andrew (Martha) Summers, and Betsy (Les) Arnold. Three stepchildren; Mary Ellen DiMilo, Michael (Rae) DiMilo, and Lois (Mike) Lopez. 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren further survive him as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wives; Donna and Nancie, as well as his siblings; Gil, Eddie, Jimmy, Philmon, Etta, and Donny.
Friends may visit after 4:00PM on Monday, November 29, 2021, at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere, until time of service at 7:00PM with Pastor Juan Alicea officiating. Full military honors will follow.
