Obituary

Barbara Marie (Gussert) Enderby passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 12, 2023. She was born on May 9, 1933 to Antone and Marie (Cleary) Gussert. She graduated from East De Pere High School. On June 26, 1954 she married Marshall Wilbert Enderby at her family's farm in Greenleaf, a celebration that would end up lasting 3 days. They were married for 65 years. They lovingly raised 5 children: Judith Thomson, Cynthia (John) Schumerth, John (Roberta) Enderby, Michael Enderby, and Timothy (Carol) Enderby. Her grandchildren were the lights of her life and include Jeremy (Christy) Thomson, Holly (Tom) Fey, Danielle Schumerth, David (Stefanie) Schumerth, Martha (James) Heaney, Anthony Enderby, Sam Enderby, Michelle Galindo-Enderby, Phillip (Audrey Jerabek, fiancee') Enderby, Katherine (Mitchell) Mueller. She is further survived by great grandchildren Henry & Lucy Fey, Jameson & Beckham Thomson, Sabina & Irene Heaney. She left her lasting impressions on all of us and we are better people for it.

Barb worked and retired from Moore Response Graphics. She volunteered for many years at Renne's Nursing Home, Meals-on-Wheels, and as a funeral dinner volunteer at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. She was always there to help anyone in need, always with a smile on her face.

She was a talented quilter and blessed all of her children and grandchildren with quilts they will always treasure. She and Marshall enjoyed golfing, and traveling - with trips to Alaska and Australia being among her favorites. The annual Gussert Family camp out was always a favorite, allowing her to release her "crazy aunt" persona. Time spent at the cottage on the Townsend Flowage was relaxing and looked forward to with precious moments spent with family and friends. Additionally she enjoyed gardening both vegetables and flowers. She had a quick wit and always left you wondering what she was up to.

She is survived by a brother, Thomas (Mary Ann) Gussert; brother-in-laws Ace (Carol) Enderby and Glenn Enderby.

She was preceded in death by her husband Marshall, parents Antone and Marie Gussert, In-Laws Wilbert and Marie Enderby, brother and sister-in-law Donald & Mary Jo Gussert, in-laws Ralph (Laverne) Enderby, Mary (Jiggs) Cady, Luella VanEnkenvort, Tureko Enderby, niece Pam (Gussert) Bowers, and nephews Bruce and Jody Enderby.
