IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Barbara
Radant
October 4, 1939 – May 24, 2023
Barbara (Hamilton) Radant started her next adventure May 24, 2023. Barb was born October 4, 1939 at Hancock, Michigan to the late Bob and Marg Hamilton. They moved from Houghton to Green Bay in 1948.
After graduating from Green Bay West High school class of '57 and from Oshkosh State teachers college in 1961. Barb taught kindergarten at Irwin School, De Pere until 1965. Then she chose to be a stay at home mom until returning to teaching in 1976 as a substitute teacher at various schools.
During 1984, she earned dual certification credits at Silver Lake College to continue as a Special Education teacher at Syble Hopp School until February of 1988. At that time, Barb joined the Psych Rehab Team at Brown County Mental Health Center and continued that career until she retired April, 2005.
Barb is survived by a daughter Renae Richards (Greg, Rachel), Green Bay; Son, Robb (Laurel) Radant, Cedar Grove; Grandsons, Noah Radant, and Ben Radant, Cedar Grove; Sister Margaret Miller and her daughter Debbie Hamilton, Green Bay. She is further survived by her partner Robert Maahs, Hortonville; plus her cat Smidgen. Barb was preceded in death by her oldest son Rick (1/30/01).
Per Barb's specific wishes, cremation and private family gathering was held.
Barb's family and close friends shared her laughter/tears throughout the comedy/tragedy of her life. She shared her stores of love/ioss with them and was so very appreciative of their camaraderie and empathy.
