Barb was a nurse for 32 years at St. Mary's Hospital. She worked on the Medical Floor as well as leader in the Medical, ICU and Peds Department. She started as a PCT in 1968, moving to the role of LPN in 1971 and RN in 1982. This mission of nursing was the light of her life. She lived and breathed the mission of caring for the sick and dying. Prayer was a deep love for her.
In retirement she took on making rosaries, beaded rosaries as well as rose rosaries. She worked with 4 coworkers; Kathy Simonar, Kathy O'Neil, Pat Wondrash, and Mary Bishop to make these rosaries. The beaded rosaries went all over Green Bay, De Pere, New Franken, and Marinette. The rose rosaries were given out to people in need or going through tough times. These rosaries went to Port Oregon, New Orleans, Los Angeles, Sweden, and Africa. Barb was always a caring and giving person to everyone.
Special thanks to my family, especially Sandy, Kathy Simonar, Deb Hoida and Jodi Van Vooren for the care given. Special thanks to all those loved by me, blessings of joy. Special thanks to Unity Hospice. Thank you much to Ashley and Laurie. I so appreciate the arrangements Hospice made to get me to Bo's baptism.
