Beatrice Anastazie (Duben) Charvat, age 95, entered eternal life on Saturday, July 31, 2010. Her son Frank "FA" and daughter-in-law, Sharie were by her side. She died of natural causes. Beatrice was born September 28, 1914 of naturalized Czech parents, Anton and Anastazie (Drbal) Duben in Cicero, IL. Was baptized on October 17, 1914 at Mary Queen of Heaven in Cicero, IL. She met her husband, Frank Joseph Charvat at a dance where they began a life-long love affair, celebrating the joys of life through dance. They were married on July 3, 1937 at Our Lady of Holy Mount, Cicero, IL. They were married for 68 years when Frank preceded her in death on January 16, 2006. Beatrice lived most of her life in Cicero before moving to Wisconsin Rapids, WI. To enjoy retirement closer to her son and grandchildren. She was an avid dancer, cook, card player and volunteer. She loved to shop, enjoyed always being a fashionable lady, and never met a pair of shoes she didn't like. She also enjoyed the outdoors and spent much of her retirement walking through the woods, enjoying nature with her family. Her true passion was the joy of family and friends, never missing an important event of her loved ones' lives. She was a petite lady with a large, vibrant personality which made her the life of the party, especially at her grandchildren's weddings and her most recent home of Birch Creek Residential Facility in De Pere, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mae (Duben) Vodicka, her lively personality will be forever remembered by her son, Frank Anton Charvat and his wife Sharie of Green Bay, WI; grandson Frank Alexander and his wife Cori, great-granddaughters Kate, Sara and Jena Charvat of Conifer, Co: granddaughter Audrey Ann (Charvat) Bauman and her husband Mark, and great-grandson Nicholas Bauman of Geneva, IL; niece June (Vodicka) Beier and her husband Gary of Lac du Flambeau, WI; many other nieces, nephews, cousins and countless cherished friends. We will miss you tremendously, but we know you are at peace, enjoying an eternal dance with your husband, in Heaven. A service will be hels at 9:30am on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME in De Pere, WI. With Reverend Mike Williams officiating. She will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery near her home town of Cicero. Memorials may be made to Asera Care Hospice.
