Obituary

Mrs. Jerry (Beatrice "Bea") Lasee, 93, of De Pere, passed away early Wednesday morning, February 29, 2012 at a local nursing home. The daughter of the late George and Christine ( Arts) Gottier was born July 16, 1918 in De Pere. She married Gerald Lasee on June 16, 1939 at St. Mary Catholic Church in De Pere. He preceded her in death on May 28, 1997. Bea enjoyed playing cards, doing crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family. She was a wonderful homemaker, especially cooking, baking , and crocheting beautiful doilies and hotpads. Survivors include her children, Sister Sharon, Bay Settlement, Gary (Joyce) Lasee, Barbara Klann, Carol Kekula, Mary Holl, Mark (Peggy) Lasee, Julie (Rollin) Gridley, Margie Lasee, Randy (Cyndi) Lasee, twenty grandchildren, twenty- three great-grandchildren, one sister, Dolores Peters, sister-in-law, Eleanor Gottier, sons-in-law, Duane Buechler, Mike Klann and Roger Holl, as well as Gerald's family, Lorraine Reitz, Mike (Gerry) Lasee. She will also be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews , other relatives and friends. Bea was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Joanne Buechler, son, Donald (Marmie), 2 grandsons, Jerry and Daniel Lasee, son-in-law, Bob Kekula, sisters, Elaine Wallen, Mildred Hickey, her brothers, Howard, Glenn and Stanley Gottier. Family and friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday March 2, 2012. Parish prayer service will be held at 4:00 pm. Visitation will continue after 9:30 am Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family, corner of Lourdes Avenue and Suburban Drive, De Pere, until time of service. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am Saturday at the church with Father Tim Shillcox, O. Praem., officiating. Burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, De Pere.
