Mrs. Jim (Bea) Martin, 89, of De Pere, passed away Wednesday October 29, 2008 at Unity Hospice in De Pere. The daughter of the late Dan and Molly (Daly) Linnane was born August 20, 1919 in Wayside. On June 26, she married Jim Martin at St. Francis Catholic Church, De Pere and he preceded her in death on May 14, 1991. Bea was a long-time member of St. Francis Altar Rosary Society and was a member of the City of De Pere Commission on Aging. She loved playing bridge and was an avid reader. Survivors include her four sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Susie Martin, Milwaukee, Mark and Debbie Martin, Madison, Todd and Laurie Martin, Princeton, NJ, David and Betsy Martin, Germantown, MD, eight grandchildren, Rachael and Brian Martin, Kelley and Katey Martin, Chris and Zach Martin, Samantha and James Martin, one brother, Joe Linnane and one sister, Lorraine Franken. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sisters Mary Ellen Swan, and Marjorie Barkeler. Friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere from 2:00 to 5:00 pm on Sunday November 2, 2008. Parish prayer service will be held at 4:30 pm. Visitation will continue after 10:00 am Monday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 220 So. Michigan Street, De Pere. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am Monday at the church with Father David Duffeck, officiating. Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
