IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Betty Marie
Baeten
December 17, 1930 – November 13, 2023
Betty Baeten, 92, De Pere, died November 13th, 2023. The daughter of the late Leonard and Edith M. (Knapp) Willgrubs, Betty was born December 17, 1930, in Sparta, WI. She met the love of her life, Cyril (Cy) Baeten, and they married on December 30, 1950. They settled in the De Pere area where they raised their family and spent most of their life. They had seven children, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Betty was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She delighted in the fact that she was a stay-at-home mom and always had a warm and welcoming home that was open to all. She was a consummate entertainer. Betty enjoyed all the arts and even taught herself how to play the piano. She was a gifted artist and cross-stitcher. Together with Cy, they traveled to four continents, numerous states, and more road trips than can be counted. She always had a helping hand and loved to spend time in conversation with her family, friends, and even strangers. She truly loved Christmas. Betty made friends everywhere she went; people simply loved to be around her. She always spoke about what a wonderful life she had, and she will be missed dearly by all those who love her.
Survivors include her children, Mary Baeten, Susan Bushover, Barb and Jim Hoida, Jeff and Patti Baeten, Pete Baeten (special friend Jody), and Greg Baeten; eight grandchildren, Denise Bushover, Dawn and Jon Ruzich, Nicholas Hoida, Joshua Hoida, Annie Baeten, K.C. Baeten, Paul Baeten, and Jordan and Christopher Nash; two great-grandchildren, Isabel and William Ruzich; in-laws Mary Eileen Baeten, Jean Shaughnessy, Paul and Pat Baeten, Allen Baeten, and Doris Willgrubs. She is preceded in death by her husband, Cyril Baeten, one child, Joseph Baeten, daughter-in-law, Carrie Baeten, her parents Leonard and Edith Willgrubs, her siblings, Marian Hays, Kenneth Willgrubs, Gene Willgrubs, Carol and Roy Slawson, and Cy's family Peter and Mary Baeten, Bede and Evelyn Baeten, Mark Baeten, Patrick Shaughnessy, Tom and Carol Baeten, and Janice Baeten.
