Betty Jane (Vissers) Clancy, 89, Greenleaf, passed away peacefully at home on July 24, 2022. The daughter of Martin and Petronella "Nellie" (Coenen) Vissers was born on March 2, 1933.
Betty graduated from De Pere High School and began working as a bank teller. In 1954, Betty married James "Jim" Clancy. Together, they raised six children in Greenleaf. They loved golfing, bowling and following their children and grandchildren's sporting events.
After Jim's passing in 1991, Betty returned to work as a teller and trip coordinator at Greenleaf Wayside Bank. She also served as a member of the Wrightstown School Board and the CESA Board.
She is survived by her children, Kim (Dave) Klika, Connie (Dave) Vondracek, Kelly Clancy (John Schreurs), Jim (Shannon) Clancy, and Jason (Heather) Clancy; grandchildren, Erin Beyer, James Clancy, Chelsea Klika (John Kim), Jonathon (Bailey) Clancy and Jackson Clancy.
Betty is further survived by her great-grandchildren; Lola and Layla Beyer, Evelyn Hendricks; brother, Don Vissers; special nephew, Mark Buechler; sister-in-law, Jane Clancy; numerous nieces and nephews; and her furry alarm clock, Zoey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; parents, Martin and Nellie; son, Curt; siblings and in-laws, Harold Vissers, Howard (Marilyn) Vissers, Anne Vissers, Dorothy (Hank) Gerke and Ken (Anne) Vissers, as well as many members of the Clancy family.
Family and friends may visit at St. Clare Parish - St. Patrick Site, 7830 St. Pats Church Road, Askeaton, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2022. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the St. Patrick Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Jason, Kim and Kelly for their love and care, which allowed Mom to stay at home. They would also like to extend special thanks to Unity Hospice for their care.
