Obituary

Betty L. Clouthier (nee) Kelly, formerly of De Pere, passed away peacefully in the loving arms of her children, Tuesday, September 21, 2010. Betty was born and lived in Colorado for much of her young life attending Greeley High School. She loved music and enjoyed playing the piano. She graduated from college in New Mexico and began teaching at Springer High School after leaving. In her spare time she coached the pep squad. There she met a history teacher who also coached the high school football team, Raymond P. Clouthier. They married November 23rd, 1947. Together for 30 years, they raised eight children, in Illinois, and De Pere, Wisconsin. She was an active member of St. Joseph's Parish, and Our Lady of Lourdes. She was a volunteer with Wisconsin Literacy Council, St Vincent DePaul Society, Meals on Wheels, Preceded in death by her husband, Ray. Survived by her children; Don (Kris), Raynelle (Bill), David (Yvette), Carol (Jeff), Margaret (Paul), John (Lisa), Jim (Olga), and Kathleen; Her brother, Floyd Kelly, Jr. and her grandchildren; Ryan, Nora, Margaret, Andrew, Christopher, Mario, Dominic, Philip, Elizabeth, Sarah, Raina, Katie, Kelly, Michael, Matthew and Sean. Friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street De Pere from 6 8pm Friday September 24, 2010. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am Saturday September 25, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family corner of Lourdes Ave. and Suburban Drive De Pere with Fr. Tim Shillcox O.Praem officiating burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. There will be no visitation for Betty on Saturday morning. Please go to www.ryanfh.com to send online condolences to the family.
