Betty L. Jorgenson, 88, Oneida, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024. She was born October 28, 1935, to the late Edward and Nancy (Skenandore) Metoxen.
On June 20, 1953, she was united in marriage to Carl John Jorgenson in Seymour.
Betty enjoyed playing softball in her younger days, loved rummage sales, and going "up north" to the cabin on the weekends. She was an active member of Oneida United Methodist Church. It was the time she spent with her family though that she looked forward to the most.
She is survived by her five children: Janice Hall, Wanda (Mike) Boivin, Edwina Jorgenson, Gerald (Tricia) Jorgenson, and Randall (Linda) Jorgenson. Thirteen grandchildren: Jamie (Chris) Jorgenson, William (Kristin) Hall, Sara Carmichael, Kristin (Erwin) Jorgenson – Dann, Christopher (Jessica) Jorgenson, Melanie (Elmer) Briones, Owen Jorgenson, Evelyn Jorgenson, Jerome Archiquette, Erin Jorgenson, Justin Schumerth, Chelsea Jorgenson, and Jordan Jorgenson. Twenty-Eight great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren, as well as her five sisters; Donna Ineguez, Wallean Garcia, Ramona Sternal, Norean Metoxen, and Linda Herrera.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Carl on March 12, 1992, her daughter Brenda on August 2, 2022, her parents Edward and Nancy Metoxen, and her sisters Louise, Edwina, and Sandra.
Friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere from 4:00PM – 7:00PM Monday, April 22, 2024. The Oneida Hymn Singers will sing at 6:30PM. Visitation will continue Tues morning at Oneida United Methodist Church at 9:00AM, until time of service at 11:00AM with Pastor Jane Sommers officiating. The Oneida Hymn Singers will sing at 10:30AM. Lunch at church will follow the service. The burial will take place at 2:30PM Tuesday at Nicolet Memorial Gardens.
