Obituary

Robert (Bob) Heuvelmans, 59, of De Pere, died on Sunday afternoon, March 30, 2014. The son of Vernon "Cully" and Alice (Bernetzke) Heuvelmans was born September 29, 1954 in Green Bay . He was a graduate of West De Pere High School, Class of 1972. On April 20, 1974 he married Vicki Coenen at Old St. Joe's Church. Mr. Heuvelmans had worked at Ft. Howard Paper Company (now Georgia Pacific) for over 30 years. Bob was very active and served on the West De Pere School Board for many years. He served as a respected City Alderman for De Pere for many years. He was passionate about coaching and working with kids. He was always available to lend a helping hand to neighbors and friends. Bob was gifted with a great sense of humor and a smile that would light up a room. He was a very cool guy and was greatly respected by many people in town, some who he didn't even know. His biggest love in life was his family and enjoyed watching his kids and grandkids grow up. Bob will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. His family includes his wife, three children, Justin (Angela) Heuvelmans, Casey Heuvelmans, Whitney (Andrew) Reps, grandchildren, Stone, Sawyer, Silas, Gabriel, and Lily, his Mom, Alice, his sisters, Vicki (Albert) Manders, Theresa Monfort, Linda (Robert) Cox, Joyce (Dan) Diestler, a mother-in-law, Mildred Coenen, sisters-in-law, Lynn Leininger, Beckie (Jim) Rottier, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, his father-in-law, Louis Coenen, brother-in-law, Chuck Leininger., and a special uncle, Bob Paape. Family and friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday April 3, 2014. There will be no formal services. The family extends a special thanks to the various health care professionals over the past two years that offered their care and support. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials will be appreciated to the Erwin Cottrell Scholarship Fund at West De Pere High School.
