IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bret "Itz Kricket"
Metoxen
March 7, 1989 – May 10, 2025
Bret Metoxen, 36, of Oneida, WI passed away peacefully with his sister Toni by his side on May 10, 2025, in Green Bay, WI. He was born on March 7, 1989, to Wayne Metoxen and Elaine Parker. Bret attended West De Pere Highschool and was a jack of all trades.
In his younger years Bret played baseball and enjoyed fishing but mainly loved going on family adventures. He was always up for a road trip, whether it be to Minnesota, Great America, or just overnight stays at the casino. He especially loved his Milwaukee Brewer games. Anything that meant family time he was there. Bret was also a lover of food, even right to the very end.
Bret wasn't a materialistic guy; he was such a carefree spirit. He had a very infectious personality and was always making people laugh and smile. We called him the "bird whisperer" because birds would just fly right into his hands. Bret will forever be known for his mimicking cricket whistle which gave him his online name "Itz Kricket".
Bret had requested not to have a funeral service. However, the family did have a private Ceremony of Prayer and Drum to send him on his journey home. Bret will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Bret is survived by his parents Wayne Metoxen and Elaine Parker, his children Karina, Narelle, K'leighelle, Ly'delle, and KaiElle; his sisters Toni, Jolene, Shannon, Cree and Jannelle; Nephews Mikael, Marques, Richard, Riley, Charles (chucky), Zadrian, Gage, Sonny, Kaiden and Tru; nieces Rori, Raeden, Sienna, Shadia, Brandi, DeOnna, Janessa, Tamera, Syndee and G'oni; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is further survived by his Grandparents Florence and Steve Petri.
He was preceded in death by his siblings Lonnie Parker, Randi Walking Eagle, and Waylon Metoxen; grandparents Shirley and Fredmond Hill, Andrew and Betty Parker, and Eugene (Yogi) Metoxen. He was further preceded in death by His aunts Tammy Metoxen and Trina (Metoxen) Villegas; uncles Timothy Metoxen, Daniel Parker, Rory Hill, and Marco Vasquez; as well as Nephews Kordel Metoxen, DJ Walking Ealge, and Alec Rangel.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the team at Bellin as well as Unity Hospice for their wonderful care of Bret.
