Obituary

Brian Michael Peterson, 66, De Pere, passed away unexpectedly with his wife (Sue) by his side, on December 4, 2021. He was born on July 7, 1955, to the late Percy R. and Betty Mae (Platkowski) Peterson in Green Bay, WI. Brian is survived by his wife, Sue Peterson, of 30 years. His daughter Jaclyn (Brett) Hebert and son Matt (Judy) Green, and his grandchildren: Emersyn Hebert (10), Maddex Hebert (7), and Locklyn Hebert (3), and many nieces/nephews, cousins, and friends. He is survived by his siblings: Sandy (Patrick) La Haye, Blair (Linda) Peterson, and Suzanne "Suzy" Linton (Naomi)/Ray Linton, and Ted Platkowski (uncle), Mary Effa (mother-in-law), and Tom (Anita) Wilkinson, Jerry (Pamela) Wilkinson, Arnie Jr (Cheryl) Effa, and Kip (Melissa) Effa (brother/sister-in-laws). He was preceded in death by: Margo Ann (infant sister), Louis (Anna) Peterson and John (Margaret) Platkowski (grandparents), Michael and Jack Platkowski (uncles) and Arnie (father-in-law). Brian was a 1973 graduate of Southwest High School (Green Bay), and was very involved performing many distinct roles, such as: Serving as a Little League baseball umpire, a "parkie" for area ice rinks. He loved hockey and was a goalie for Southwest High School and the De Pere Deacons. He also was a drummer in several local rock bands over the years. Brian's love of music led him to form the Classic Rock/Top 40's band "Shotgun". He also attended UW-Green Bay and received a Bachelors Degree in Business, with a minor in psychology. Most of his life, he was involved and passionate with all aspects of printing. His dedication led him to eventually open Royal Crest Printing Plus, LLC in Howard/Suamico in 2004. Customers reviews acknowledged he was stellar at customer service: he made them a "priority… always available to talk… does everything he can to make sure you got everything you want", was also "very sensitive to customer needs". His shop dogs Tiki - then Daisy were always a part of Brian's work life. Brian was also an airplane pilot, loved the EAA, music (especially Alice Cooper), was a great cook, grill master and foodie for sure. He especially loved seafood, peanuts, and Budweiser! He also loved spending time at his condo, in Gulf Shores, Alabama. He got there as often as he could - but not nearly enough! He will be sadly missed by all his family, many good friends, and his customers. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Brian's name. Family and friends may visit at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere, beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 10, 2021. A prayer service will conclude the visitation at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Fort Howard Cemetery.
