Bruce Fredrick Klocek passed away peacefully on December 12, 2025, joining his beloved wife, Betty Jean. He was surrounded by the love of his daughter, his son from a distance and the compassionate caregivers at McCormick Assisted Living.

Bruce was born on January 29, 1934, in Wells, MN, to Frank and Esther Klocek. He married Betty Meyer on October 1, 1955. Together, they raised three children in Albert Lea, MN. Bruce worked hard as a meat packer, but his true passion was spending time with his family—hunting, fishing, playing cards (especially cribbage) and sharing meals with loved ones. Having grown up in the throes of the Great Depression, Bruce was determined that his family would never experience the hardships he endured. This resolve shaped his generosity and unwavering commitment to those he loved.

Upon retirement, Bruce and Betty moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas, where Bruce enjoyed fishing some of the country's finest lakes. Later, they spent winters in Mission, TX and summers in Green Bay to be near family. Bruce continued to love fishing anywhere anyone would take him in his later years.

Bruce is survived by son Kim (Pam) of Minneapolis and their children and grandchildren: Angie (Chad and family); Tara (Todd and family); Brie (Jake and family); Alyssa (and family). He is also survived by his daughter Susan of Green Bay and her children: Chelsea; and Beau (Adrienne and their son). He is also survived by his son Scott of Arizona. Bruce is further survived by his younger brother, Robert of Minneapolis, and many nieces and nephews across the country. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, younger siblings Caroline, Valentine and his grandson Benjamin.

A celebration of Bruce's life will take place on Saturday, December 27 at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere. Visitation begins at 10 am, followed by a memorial prayer service at 11. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your favorite charity in Bruce's name. Bruce will also be honored in Minneapolis at a future date.
