Carl DuWayne "Coyote" Christjohn, 54, De Pere, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 27, 2021 following a short battle with cancer. The son of Ronald and Mary Anne (Newman) Christjohn was born on April 24, 1966 in Tigerton, Wisconsin.
Carl was best known for his sense of humor. He was a great storyteller who made everyone around him laugh. He was mischievously curious in life which lent to his ability to fix just about anything. Carl lived his life like there was no tomorrow. He loved his family, friends and his furry friend, Scooter.
Carl had a passion for stock car racing, Harleys, and music. Carl was proud of his Native heritage and it was a big part of who he was. His favorite role of all was being a Dad.
Carl is survived by son Cody Christjohn; father, Ronald Christjohn: siblings, Wanda Newcomb, Louisiana, Sue (Rocky) Kauffman, Seymour, Lee (Pam) Christjohn, Antigo, Lisa (Mike Glover) Hirt, De Pere, Eric Erickson, Milwaukee, Leif (Bonnie) Erickson, Shawano, Vicki (Greg) Strebig, Kronenwetter, many nieces and nephews, and special Uncle Tony!
Carl is preceded in death by his mothers, Mary Anne and Joyce; his daughter Kayona Ann Christjohn; and his grandparents.
Family and friends are welcome to Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere, on Saturday, April 3. A public visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. to noon, with a service directly following the visitation.
